Re: Brexit delayed

I do have an issue with Hamilton banging on about social equality whilst he dodges tax The problem with that is that it sort of means that you aren’t allowed to take advantage of the international nature of taxation if you get Rich in the public eye, but that it’s fine if you inherited your money l...

Not clicking because I don't want to give him money. What's the gist? He’s just exactly like those people... says, for instance, that Hamilton is great, but he shouldn’t politicize it. What would his poor mum think? Does she agree with this? Does her life not matter? ( because, of course, if black ...

His stats are really pretty good. His wickets come at 28.83 and he has a strike rate of 56.91. For comparison, Anderson is 26.98 with a s/r of 56.49. Broad is 27.80 with a s/r of 56.48 He's very under rated player, who has seldom been given any kind of run in the side. We are lucky to have him. Bec...

That’s going to have big implications for our lineup.

So simply Crawley in, right? I would probably bring in Curran or Wood.

Surely it's Bath? We already know about their previous and we're probably not talking about this season... Do you mean "previous" as in 30 years ago? Or "previous" as in thoroughly debunked by the same journalist "broke" the story in the first place? Not to mention tha...

Quins have signed Jack Stafford from Munster, a SH I know nothing about, lol.

And that's the business done. 44 players for this season, though 2 of those are short term arrivals to cover the fact the Saffas aren't arriving yet (will they even arrive before the end of the season?).

So Fissler today Bath ----> Pollard (BUT calls it doomed to fail) Quins ----> Loader London irish are to have more talks with players over cuts, current offers have been rejected. Now offering 17.5% cut. Now trying to just get individuals to agree to it instead of collective. AND another club is be...

Re: Channel migrants - solutions.

What Digby said. And this: Pay for immigration courts and tribunals. Pay for the prosecution of the businesses (and I don't mean one man bands) who employ illegal immigrants. If you don't do these things then people will logically conclude that you aren't serious about restricting them from coming ...

I would so drop him right now. And I don’t mean for one test, I would not pick him this summer until he can show he has the mental application to succeed.

And also that England know what they bloody want from him.

Re: Which players are going to make a breakthrough in 19/20?

But would you pick Itoje at 8? Who in their right mind wouldn’t? Me I wouldn't. Whether I'm in my right mind could be debated. Any coach with a decent half back pairing would have his team playing touchline to touchline. Keep the phases going wide, wide. Make the backrow with two locks run. Keep yo...

Re: Which players are going to make a breakthrough in 19/20?

I was just adding in that Curry was a decent l/o option as Jgnf seemed unaware. Curry's not tall enough. Bah. You need to be 6'6"... I'm also a big fan of Hill, Curry, Willis, Mercer... That could be a very effective foursome, tbh. None are small, none are slow. All of them are good over the b...

Re: Which players are going to make a breakthrough in 19/20?

Also not sure what the problem is in using Curry as a jumper, he's good enough not to need to pick Lawes at 6 merely to bolster the lineout. I'd love to see Willis internationally too, as I think he'd take to it really well. No problem whatsoever. Curry is a perfectly good lineout jumper. I just th...

Re: Cricket fred

Stokes got a beauty. That can happen. The openers have serious footwork issues, while Root played a dreadful shot. Pope has looked very good but he needs to go on and score big if we are to get anywhere near the Pakistan total. We can but pray. He just needs to make sure he goes out and plays. No p...

Re: Which players are going to make a breakthrough in 19/20?

Jesus. I can’t believe we’re doing this again, but yes. If it just so happens your 7 is a good carrier or lineout jumper, while your 8 is fantastic over the ball and your 6 is a great link-man (to use a horribly simplistic breakdown of key back-row skills), it doesn’t really matter that they’re not...

Re: Cricket fred

I wish we didn't keep binning Crawley. Better to bin Root, tbh.

Pope is looking seriously good. A very good find. But Buttler needs to stick around, something that's not been his forte. And Woakes and Bess then need to pile on runs, too.

Re: 6N to be finished

If you told a DoR that they’d have 19 injured players over the course of a season out of a 41 man squad, they’d shrug their shoulders and just think it was a standard season. Iirc, on average a third of a Prem squad will be carrying an injury at any given time..... Does 19 in a 3rd of a season not ...

Re: Which players are going to make a breakthrough in 19/20?

Fair point on Sotutu, but I think we’re essentially on the same wavelength. I wasn’t using Cane as an example of a ball carrier. I was simply saying that he’s a high profile flanker that’s swapped between 6 and 7. For context, jngf is fixated on shirt numbers so it was referencing that. I think tha...

They always say, wait until the other side has batted........ We don't need to when it's the first game of a season in England. We should probably just start awarding it to the visitors. It's like we're incapable of playing well against "new" opponents, and need a match to get into it. bl...

I reckon we have to bite the Root bullet somehow, but not easy, We need his runs at the level he wasn;t captain. Bring Morgan in and let him fail at 3 :) lol. Pope is meant to be a future #3, so why not bring Morgan in at 5, Stokes down to 6, and we have balance. But I doubt that'll happen, tbh. Mo...

I think Archer needs to get some miles in his legs tbh :) I actually agree in this instance. I don't think Root is actually a very good captain. But I fail to see who else could do it. let me rephrase, utter shoite since lunch. Shit, they keep telling me not to over...
