Re: Scotland

Oh for fucks sake. I’m assuming the WRU panicked following the shut down of most other sporting events and didn’t want to the the odd one out. That is my reading of the situation. They could have justified postponing it a week ago, but I don't see a problem playing it today and saying no more games...

Re: Scotland

On the other hand, I am happy to see WGJ at tight head. We have to find out if he is up to the job. Carre was thrown in and passed the test at loose head. What is he like? Sutherland has probably been Scotland's best player and definitely up there for best loosehead this tournament. Solid (which is...

Re: Scotland

Apparently Dillon Lewis only omitted owing to injury!

I am surprised Brown is fit enough for the bench. I think he has a good attitude.

Re: Scotland

I must admit I don't see the logic in have McNicholl on the bench instead of rees Zammit. This season is for reorganisation, learning to play a somewhat different way. I would feel relaxed about losing three games in a row if I thought the learning exercise had been worthwhile. I am not usually in f...

Rhun Williams

Forced to retire aged only 22 as a result of injury.

In my opinion he was a player of great potential.

Re: Next up, England

It could have been a lot worse. I wonder how many of our players will be unfit for the next game? Mind you, Navidi and Sayjay certainly did not look underdone. Dillon Lewis is starting to look like a regular vulnerability. He is a good prop but is he good enought? He does not seem to be developing. ...

Re: Next up, England

Not fit; not match fit; out of form; age catching up covers 12 or 13 of our starting 15. (A lot of weight on Tipuric's shoulders!)

I don't think it is a good England side, but we could be in trouble here.

Now I have to go and watch it with England supposters.

I must admit I expected us to lose this. A bit of a turn around from losing to Italy.

Re: Next up, England

I think we may have a bit of trouble in the scrums.

I hope I am wrong.

We are putting a lot of barely fit or slightly out of form players on the pitch.

Brilliant given the conditions.

A portent for tomorrow?

Let us hope we don't drop the ball as often tomorrow as the U20s did tonight !

(As was said, they did have terrible conditions.)

Re: Team for France

I'm hoping that Tompkins can allay my fears over his defence. You and every other welsh supporter. And our cover for centre is North so shoring you a leaky midfield could be difficult with no real experience to call on. On the bright side if we get some quick ball then we have a back line to do som...

Good to see Owen Watkin looking like he's got some form so soon after his injury, Keiron Williams was excellent and Lydiate was deserved of his MOM award.

I am glad to hear that about Owen Watkin, we could certainly use him in the National team.

It was a tight game, and yes there were some strange refereeing decisions. Overall the best team won, so i am not too worried aboubout the bizarre decisions.

Re: Team for Ireland

Romain Poite is the ref, he normally makes his mind up quite early if there are issues with the scrum and then penalises that team for the whole game, the first scrum could be very important. Oh Christ, the "dominant" scrum can do no wrong. As you say, first impressions count. Wales may d...

I hope our wingers have been practising catching wild passes slung out by George when he breaks through and finds the Italian full back in his way. . Norths distribution is good so not sure what your point is there. His short range distribution is great (remembering that try he set up direct from a...

Re: Wot No Predictions Thread?

Wales 15 - 28 Italy

Jake Polledri has been on a crash course with his cousins in Wales and learned Welsh. Our lineout disintegrates because they understand all our lineout calls and we leak soft tries.
