Re: v Wales
It has a certain Lancaster era smell about it, ie there’s failure at a macro level. The last 6N when a Jones team was this bad you could pinpoint the problem(s), this looks different. Frankly i think a result like this has been coming for the last 18 months. We've not looked totally convincing sinc...

Re: v Wales
We had 2 highly dubious tries against us and had to cope with a referee that seemed to blow hot and cold on certain areas of the game. Despite that we came back well to level the score at 24-24 then proceeded to play the in most boneheaded way imaginable. That last quarter was utterly abject. Discip...

Re: Bristol v Leicester, Sat, Feb 27th (1pm KO):
Encouraging stuff from Tigers. They largely defended very well and came back into the game strongly in the 2nd half. Thought Chessum was very good and Whitcombe did well off the bench (not up against Afoa though). Bris just arent quite clicking. Some of their build up play was very good but final pa...

Re: Sale v Exeter Fri 7.45
Spot on about Hodge. Looks like a lovely runner but does need to put on a few pounds and will need to make better decisions. Cordero scored a cracking try and then is sacrificed! Tough call that one. Yeandle's red was just dumb. Players have to display better control than that. Exe up against it for...

The record is impressive but take out the first 2 years - 2016 and 2017 - when we only lost one game and the picture is a little different.
Also worth pointing out he has only won the GS once.

Glos have been really unlucky last couple of weeks. Expect them to win this one. Good to see Stanley back and Clement on the bench.
Ashton starts for Wuss.

Re: v Wales
Yes, you expect some disagreements and you would also expect young thrusters to want to play with a bit more ambition.
Will we see any tomorrow under the old guard?

Re: Bristol v Leicester, Sat, Feb 27th (1pm KO):
Bris are missing a lot of players but can still call upon some of their better ones to start. Bench does look a little light.
Tigers appear to be improving so its quite a tricky game to call.
van Poortvliet looks a very good prospect. Might be one to watch.

Re: v Wales
LR-Z is one helluva player.
Also think Wyn Jones is a good prop, Tipuric is high class and Faleteu is proven high quality.
I really dont know who starts as favourites. Think we have the better players in most positions but I thought that against Scotland. That didnt go too well......

Re: v Wales
Genuinely no idea Martin is A 19 year old England under 20s lock that has been covering 6 for Tigers. Charged down Marcus Smith the other weekend for his first Tiger try. He's a good lineout jumper, gets around the field and regularly makes the most tackles in a game if he starts, which is the reas...

Re: v Wales
LCD a bit unlucky not to start. Billy reprieved. Expected Lawes to start, imagine he's not fit as not on the bench. Hasty promotion for Martin. Backs as last time out. 6:2 bench, which denies opportunity to have a look at Lawrence or Odogwu. I'm no fan of this arrangement. Other than Martin, no surp...

Bizarre wasnt it. I thought he must have nicked it when he reviewed but no, he just played down the wrong line and missed a straight ball.

Terrific comeback but Bris went to sleep, lost all momentum and subbed players far too early. Irish bench made an impact. Highly entertaining stuff all round.

Re: EPS Watch / Player Form Thread
Thought Dombrandt was really good yesterday. His handling is streets ahead of any other back rower we have. He put in some really clever work during the game. Smith again very good, but that has now become a given. Will Evans wont be in Jones mind but he is one helluva player. Quins definitely the p...

He moved. Not much, but enough.
Credit to Saints for being alive and getting their charge in.
Actually credit to Saints for their performance yesterday. That was not an insignificant result. They really worked hard for it, defending in a way that displayed considerable resolve.

Liebenburg was going forward, not paying any attention to where Bassett was. It was dozy, dangerous play.
Looked a straight red to me, as did the other two.
