I did wonder about putting this in the Covid thread, but seeing as it pertains to Agent Cummings and Goings more than Covid I'll link it here

Re: Cricket fred

Well played the Windies, easily the better side. Okay we had the worst of the batting conditions but given that was explicitly our choice it's not much of a defence. The bowling was okay, not wonderful, but okay. Neither the seam attack nor the spin options were consistent, probably we rotate Broad ...

Did the consul not have diplomatic status? Diplomatic immunity does not include child porn, as I understood. But even if it did, 2 years and a grand fine... just insanity Child porn would be a hard sell as far as core consular activity was concerned, but I don't know the consul could be prosecuted ...

Also who'd want that endorsement? Someoe who is pretty much guaranteed to get all of the Democrat votes in her state and wants to pick up as many Republicans as she can? Having Ann Coulter proves that she's not one of those dangerous liberal Democrats who are coming for their guns and their capital...

Re: Trump

Trump reported to have called Roger Stone and told him he'll commute his sentence, which I suppose isn't quite as bad as a pardon but given Stone is likely to trade/profit on that guilty sentence it still rather stinks

They're not my cup of tea, but if one were to look at people backing Biden this week rather than look at The Lincoln Project I might look at Ady Barkan, given Ady is saying he's willing to use some of the time he has left (which isn't going to be a lot) helping to endorse Biden because that legacy ...

Re: Cricket fred

Archer and Wood combined for a lethal 1-115.

Almost certainly their selection and the likely rotation of Broad and maybe Anderson, and having Wood and Archer is about the tour to Oz, which isn't showing Windies all the respect we could, and for now it shows

No.

I don't share their politics, but their concern that whatever the politics there be a demonstration of honesty and endeavour and even basic humanity doesn't seem unreasonable

Re: Trump

The Lincoln Project, on the verge of making themselves a celebrity cause against Trump, have started doing something quite interesting in targeting any number of down stream races in favour of the Dems. It's a ballsy move, and even if they see both houses of Congress go Blue and Biden win it's not o...

Why would we not? He's still running for President in order to facilitate another Trump term. Something the democrats could have avoided by picking someone who wasn't senile. Can we all just accept that West is pig shit thick and therefore treat his comments in that light? I don't get the argument that an opinion stated by a celebrity is somehow more right than anyone else. It reaches a greater audience but it can still be plain wrong. Why would we not? He's still runni...
