Re: v Wales
Feck it. So wanted to see Malins start and Daly kicked to touch. Ewels. Never good enough to start but continues to occupy a place on the bench. LCD benched for not scoring a try and, to steal a line form country singer/goddess Shania. ‘Wanna make some noise, really raise my voice Yeah, I wanna scr...

Re: v Wales
Is he? I’m not sure anyone is claiming he’s the messiah, or even close to a perfect player. Is anybody actually saying that?
It just seems that Vunipola’s untouchable status has gone on quite a long time considering the others performing well in the AP/Europe.

Genuinely no idea Martin is A 19 year old England under 20s lock that has been covering 6 for Tigers. Charged down Marcus Smith the other weekend for his first Tiger try. He's a good lineout jumper, gets around the field and regularly makes the most tackles in a game if he starts, which is the reas...

Yeah I’m definitely feeling like it’s going to be deja vu when we try and finish the 6 nations off in the Autumn this year too.

Parton must be gutted he biffed that pass at the end. One of those ones where you have a couple of options, you aren't really sure who you are throwing it to, they aren't sure who's catching it or who it's for, and it turns into a cluster. Yep. It’s easy in that situation to almost throw it between...

Are the Sarries players any worse than usual? For me, they’ve all just carried through their form from a year ago: Itoje has been superb Mako was good George was good but clearly ate too much over Christmas Billy is the same as he has been since he came back from his first broken arm. Farrell is hi...

Re: Knee Jerk Reaction & Team for France
Somehow I missed Ritchie’s name in there. I thought we were left to choose one of Harley/Bayliss/CDP. I’d guess it has to be CDP on the bench to cover 8.
Agree that Harley never lets us down, it’s just not a selection that takes us anywhere either.

Just seen that Ewers hit. Ribbans is well hard if he's carrying on after that.
That call on Simmonds is tough but I guess he shuffles a bit. What a weird sport this is.

Oh god. We're due a GT curveball aren't we? Like bringing Harley back in to the side. https://twitter.com/Scotlandteam/status/1363536077550735364?s=20 That's a reasonable group of players. Questions remain on 6 and fitness/form of Johnson/Taylor. I hope Jones doesn't miss out without getting much op...

Re: Scots Abroad VIII (or let's spot the new messiah)
Wow. Interesting move. Had no idea he was eligible either. Seems a fair summation of him from what I've seen. Probably no USP that puts him up there with the current contenders but he seems to put himself about. Not sure how many times I've seen him for 80 rather than in highlights. The sense I get ...

Re: Universal Basic Income
Is people not bothering to do these top paying jobs because of higher tax rates actually an issue with real negative impacts? It’s hard not to feel it pales in comparison to the number of vital jobs that barely pay a living wage.

Re: Exeter vs Northampton controversy
Why not something like a "crouch - pause - engage" call from the ref to guide them along. The referee can pop one of those little guns with a flag, when he says engage, so that the opposition know they can charge.

Re: Universal Basic Income
Yeah, taking everyone out of poverty would be nice wouldn't it, but surely there's no chance here? Fear about higher tax on high earning jobs trumps everything. Making life liveable for poor people is just not important to the people who get to make these decisions.

Re: Knee Jerk Reaction & Team for France
I don't know, I'm just assuming so. He's seemingly spent most of the last 18 months out with concussion issues and just took a big head knock, but that's probably not how it works. Constantly rotating the centres isn't ideal, I agree, just not sure how Lang has become the incumbent at all. Lang is a...

On the subject of challengers, I was amazed Joe Simmonds played today (albeit from the bench) given he was knocked to the Isles of Scily last weekend
It's not test match rugby mate etc. etc.

Re: Knee Jerk Reaction & Team for France
Any Glasgow players put in a performance likely to sway Townsend for France? Would be nice if Hastings or Johnson were pushing for a place again.
Also unclear if there are replacements for Thomson/Redpath etc. Maybe that would only be announced this week.

Isn't this just like saying Mallinder could be a great 12 if he was more physical? It's quite a big thing to just add to your game out of nowhere.

Re: Tigers vs Wasps Sat 3pm
Only seen snippets of him play but he does look class, even just the way he moves.
So is Umaga (3rd choice England 10) actually second choice at Wasps now or is this rotation? Atkinson seems quite highly rated, though I've not seen anything of him except when he got tanked by Farrell.
