Re: v Wales

Even if I accept your mitigations on Itoje- and you even explained why they aren't mitigated- that's still two dumbass penalties too many! He isn't selective in where its worth playing on the edge. Billy was still comfortably the biggest yardage maker across both teams, though granted some were bac...

Re: v Wales

The maul offence was harshish, he'd gone across in the lineout, but had no impact and retreated back. The offside I believe is from when the ball was pretty clearly out the back of the ruck. The slapped ball was one of those that may or may not have come off had he managed to hit the wrist. However...

Re: We need to talk about Eddie...

The SH boys warned us that the Jones appointment would end like this. The RFU knew better apparently. Most coaches tenures end poorly, why would you get rid of a coach that's going well if you can keep them, and lets be honest, just about the only side that might be able to poach from England would...

Re: v Wales

One player i felt had a good game by their standards was actually Farrell. No dodgy tackles, actually carried the ball OK and over the whole game not just the last 15. Didn't kick too much needlessly ( apart from the lovely, but pointless, peg to the corner under advantage).

Re: v Wales

A stodgy backrow? I thought we picked Curry and Wilson? Yeah, but they're slower and less dynamic than Winterbottom et al. He's watching a different game, with standards from a different time. I do wonder why we're going 6/2 split again, when we could get a cap on Odogwu, or play Lawrence and have ...

Re: v Wales

Is Randall really injured, or will he be playing for Bristol next weekend? Blackett has talked about brining Odogwu back to get him some rugby, as otherwise he could go 11 weeks without any game time. But I have no idea how that would work with the bubble. But then again, how do Welsh and Scots pla...

Mikey Brown wrote:Why not something like a "crouch - pause - engage" call from the ref to guide them along. The referee can pop one of those little guns with a flag, when he says engage, so that the opposition know they can charge.

Or just hold his arm up, and lower it down when they can charge?

I'm done watching now.

Not because I think cards ruin games etc, just can't put up with watching Wasps play like this.

Just this ref with regards to reffing Wasps.

I don't think he necessarily get's much wrong, but as we know, there's a lot of variation in what you can blow up for or not, and still be right.

Re: Tigers vs Wasps Sat 3pm

West loses his feet in the ruck, but only kills Wasps counter ruck, rather than stopping the ball coming out, that's a harsh harsh pen.

Re: Tigers vs Wasps Sat 3pm

Wasps always have to be whiter than white with CMK. We need to adapt. Ever since he got it wrong on the Hughes red card and got rinsed by the RFU, he’s been after Wasps Pretty much. No maul call there for instance. A bullshit offside call just there on Atkinson. That said, if we're not going to sto...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps Sat 3pm

If anything I'd rather move Atkinson there. Umaga is a very skilful fly half for me. He's not very physical, but it's the mental side he needs to fix. A lot easier to take an already physical player and adjust their role, than take one who isn't, and then throw him into a position that requires even...

Re: Bath v Gloucester Fri 7.45

Why in a game when you're losing the scrum battle, and lost your best flanker in the engine room (you've already run out of locks), would you take the scrum again? Yes they won the scrum, but it's at best a 50/50 call. Take the tap and go (which they now do from the pen anyway). Morons.
