Re: Are Saracens about to get automatically relegated?

A poster on the Bristol unofficial site has said that Sarries were given the option of a full, forensic, audit or relegation and they took the drop. The insinuation being an audit would reveal exactly who knew what was going on and raise more issues. As players knew the club were cheating and there...

Re: England going forward

Brown might have been a better tactical choice for the day than Daly, but he'd do nothing for fixing the mental side, hence why I said Hartley. I think he could have brought an element of calm to proceedings. Going forwards, the leadership group needs to mature and be able to ride out those difficul...

Re: England going forward

Yeah. Not sure what Jones could do once the whistle went. You could argue that he hadn’t prepared them well enough as they were clearly nervous as hell but he could only do so much. There are numerous Lions, European champions, league champions and players with north of 50 caps, they should not mak...

Re: Finally a proper look at Sarries and the salary cap

Think we may be seeing why this wasn't chased much in the press previously, seems like numerous rugby writers are actually backing sarries or at least doing some vague hand waving. Apologies for what I'm about to write, but thank goodness for the daily mail. I feel dirty just reading this. But if t...

Re: Cipriani on the reserve list

I was living in London when I first saw Cipriani play. I can still remember it. I was at a pub called the George & Vulture and he was on the telly. It was the first, maybe only time, that I’ve seen a young English player with the sort of X-factor that, in NZ, makes you say with absolute convict...

As an International Pathway Player. That means nobody else wanted him off waivers. It’s not surprising given how new he is to that game. He now has a year to prove himself. I've been following some of the Bills fansites and its not surprising. We see the big plays and know how he can impact a game,...

Enjoyable pedantry on where exactly Billy was back then, the point of him having developed since then is a good one. Sobering stuff, and worrying that this is going so deeply buried among so many at the top. Fingers crossed this trial program at academy level bears fruit.

Re: On and Off the Plane

You can make some very strong XVs, and also 23s with that 31. It's just the strongest ones in my mind don't have Farrell starting, and I can't see that happening. especially as he is captain... F F S Is that our midfield? Farrell Francis Sinckler Or would Shields be more suited to the 13 shirt ;) S...

Re: What new trends are people seeing in rugby during this last season?

That removes an entire skillset from scrum halves. They have a lot of skillsets to execute and I suspect the game would be more fun to watch if they concentrated more on their current ones. Tbh, that'd be the one big advantage I can see off of a box kick ban. Force picking scrum-halves to be about ...

Re: What new trends are people seeing in rugby during this last season?

Out of interest, would anyone here object to the concept of a (post RWC) ELV stating that the ball must be passed at least once before being kicked from the base of a ruck? Puja I was thinking that when reading Digby's post. The pessimist in me says it will result in even more faffing but it's stil...

Re: Crusaders to change image.

So what happens to all the Crusaders teams around the world? Also Saxons, Vikings, Vandals, Saracens etc, all of whom liked to go on killing sprees. I don't think the name itself is a massive problem - it's the focus and glorifying of the actual mounted horsemen whose sole raison d'etre was killing...

A good thread destroyed by dubious humour ... When was Humour capped? I can't recall, but would corry about him getting any more. Anyway, off for a nice walk around Lund-un town for my lunch break, shame the weather isn't more like it was around Easter. p.s. Anytime anyone has something to add to t...

I think most Cons realise, and most candidates have said, that going to the country before sorting Brexit is a recipe for a Lab govt due to so much of the Con vote moving to BP. I’d imagine a GE will only be called if parliament force it. I think most MPs realise, and most candidates have said, tha...

Re: Brexit delayed

The lack of majority is the problem. I think they're currently in GE focus, not Brexit focus; hence all the remainers saying nice things about Boris, because they think only he can win. Go to the country, change the parliamentary maths, then go from there.

Was this a long standing issue or just Teague-ing problems? Miking these sort of puns is just a step too far; we should really row back on this one. Expected better from you. I'm as mystified as you (probably) as to why. I am a bad human being who enjoys the misery of others. So aye, I am mystified.

Re: Brexit delayed

Boris is loud but with nothing to actually say, Raab is more Brexity than Brexit, and Gove is a coke fiend. Anyone surprised? Boris is just a showman. Sadly that will probably be enough to win him the election as the membership (and MPs) will believe that he has enough personality to blitz Corbyn. ...
