Re: Swing low, should it go?

Itoje has commented that people should be exposed to the history of Swing Low in such manner that suggests whilst he's not for banning the singing of the of the song he'd prefer it was replaced Yeah, his response is on point in my opinion. Don't ban it (that would be weird) but I think collectively...

I watched this amid the carnage of a rag weekend trip to Malin Head. I don't think anyone else stirred for another 5 hours.

Re: Sam Burgess believes England 2015 World Cup campaign undermined by Mike Ford

I thought AFarrell did actually give himself enough time, but for his ridiculous injury that made him lose a year. Burgess was always looking like someone coming over just for the world cup and never had enough time.

Re: Sam Burgess believes England 2015 World Cup campaign undermined by Mike Ford

Didn't Robinson only get into the England post Lions tour really anyway? Maybe my memory is a bit all over the place. Perhaps my point should be regarding forwards (which is what Burgess was becoming before the last minute switch back?). Burgess at 12 looks like that time in the 3rd XV when the capt...

Re: Sam Burgess believes England 2015 World Cup campaign undermined by Mike Ford

Thanks for the Leeds info, lads. I'd gladly join you at the club bar. I'm missing talking bollocks down the rugby club before staggering home something rotten. It just ain't the same out here. RE: 2015, I'm now getting PTSD flashbacks to watching the game in Leeds. What a crappy evening that was. Ev...

Re: Sam Burgess believes England 2015 World Cup campaign undermined by Mike Ford

Geech and SCW are yesterday’s men. By example, allegedly, a lot of issues at Leeds/Yorkshire, both on and off the field, had Geech’s involvement to varying degrees. Oh, this sounds like an interesting story. I used to like going to see Leeds Carnegie as they were back then. Where can I read about t...

Re: Transfer news, fake news, baseless speculation, and various levels of truthiness - Season 2019/20

Wouldn't that be very detrimental to many of the smaller nations? Also, I feel that if qualification to play sport becomes separate from citizenship then you will start opening up all sorts of cans of worms. More personally, it would preclude either my son or me from playing for Canada, which is obv...

Re: RC and 6N set to align calendar

Thanks, Lizard. So there was some sort of balance between quality teams and international teams to make an exciting product. However, if it was working, then why did people want change it? Was it only really working for NZ? Wasn't part of the reason Aus wanted more teams was so they could expand the...

Re: RC and 6N set to align calendar

Interesting thread, thanks chaps. So if professional rugby is fundamentally on shaky ground financially what is it 'we' are shooting for with these different situations? What time is successful measured by?* Sounds a bit like what might be most realistic is a situation bit like rugby league but with...

I'm only bitter towards people with lots of money btw! Bristol have been brilliant to watch since finally coming up! This isn't meant as a dig at JimKRFC but there are times that people's defence of billionaires involvement in particular clubs smacks at doffing their cap to the squire who deigned t...

I was chatting to someone the other day who wanted to go back to having the speed of game under Clive, and wasn't having that was not just us doing well but also being up against people like Colin Charvis who trained in a pub lifting beers and silk cut, and we just don't have that comparative advan...

Re: New Zealand vs England - Sunday 10th May

Now watched the Italy highlights as well. Two main things strike me. 1. When did blitz defences come in? People sit back much more. 2. We talk a lot about the importance of tine together but it's striking how many players england used in that campaign - different combos at front row (shout out robbu...
